Murali Subbarao - Founder & CEO

 

Murali Subbarao brings over 16 years of experience in high-tech industry. Previously, he was Senior Director, Strategy and Alliances, for the Financial Services Business Unit of Hewlett-Packard, developing solutions for Internet Banking, CRM, B2B Payments, and Electronic Exchanges for financial institutions worldwide. He has also served as VP of Business Development at Arula Systems, a provider of remote management appliances, and as COO at Imeco Ultrasonics.

 

Murali has an MBA from UC Berkeley, MS in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin, Madison, and B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India.

 

 

Allwyn Lobo - Cofounder, Vice President of Engineering & Operations

 

Allwyn Lobo brings over 15 years of experience managing, architecting and designing mission critical enterprise systems and delivery of Internet and client/server based services to a wide variety of businesses and markets. Previously, at Metavante Corporation Lobo led the migration effort of the entire Paytrust customer base for several large financial institutions such as Citibank, American Express and Dreyfus into Metavante’s next generation EBPP platform. He has designed and developed platforms for Internet and mobile healthcare application at Healtheon/WebMD, for lead generation systems at Respond Networks, and for OnDemand Interactive Television at Silicon Graphics. Lobo holds a patent in Replication Server Technology.

 

Allwyn has earned an MA in Economics from University of Pune, B. Tech from Institute of Technology, Pune, and has taken graduate level courses in Computer Science at Stanford University.

 

 

Jennifer Fitzmorris - Vice President of Finance & Human Resources

 

Jennifer Fitzmorris brings over 25 years of financial management experience in a variety of business and non-profit organizations. Previously she was Operations Manager for the Financial Services Business Unit of Hewlett Packard. Her experience at Hewlett Packard also included management of finance operations for sales, marketing, international and manufacturing operations as well as teams focused on system and operational consolidation and cost reduction. At Billeo, Jennifer is responsible for all aspects of Finance, Human Resources and Administration.

 

Jennifer has an MBA in Finance from California State University, San Francisco and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

 

 

Ismail Pishori - VP of Sales

 

Ismail Pishori has more than 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, including 15 years at Hewlett-Packard. A veteran in guiding partnerships and building relationships for large technology companies, Pishori was the vice president of sales of ACI Worldwide (Canada) Inc. Before that, he was the vice president of TELUS Business Solution's financial services and retail sectors, and served as the worldwide general manager for Hewlett-Packard's financial markets segment.

 

Ismail holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and an Industrial Engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is currently on the board of advisors for Univeris, a Canadian wealth management software company. Pishori is based in Toronto, Canada.

 

 

Suzanne Usiskin - Sr. Director, Products

 

Suzanne Usiskin has more than 15 years of leadership experience in high tech product management and marketing, helping companies launch innovative new products, as well as enter and expand new markets with existing products. Prior to joining Billeo, she was director of product management at AOL Time Warner, where she led the personalization and travel product teams. She has also worked in product management in a variety of industries, including enterprise software development at Netscape and telecommunications services at AT&T Bell Labs.

 

Suzanne holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University.

Mike Hodges - Managing Director, ATA Ventures

 

Mike Hodges joined ATA Ventures in 2006 as a Venture Partner, after having built a reputation as a successful CEO and interim CEO. Mike is credited with several successful turn-around efforts, including Tellium, a Telecom Networking company that began as a technology spinout from Bellcore in 1997 (Tellium completed a public offering of $1.5B in 2001). Furthermore, Mr. Hodges filled CEO or iCEO roles at a variety of venture-backed technology start-ups, including Cygnet Systems, Biometric Imaging, SkyStream, NanoGram, Bandwidth9, Onetta, Silvan Networks, and MEMX. Prior to his startup success, Mike’s career from direct operating roles through division president at Spectra-Physics during which time the company grew to a $300M revenue NYSE public company. His more notable positions at Spectra-Physics included Division President Barcode Laser Scanning and Division President Autolab Instrumentation Division. Mike currently serves as a Director on the Boards of TeleCIS Wireless, PixSense and Red Condor.

 

Mike graduated from U.C. Berkeley, receiving BSEE and MSEE degrees.

 

Ho Nam - General Partner, Altos Ventures

 

Ho Nam focuses on investments in the areas of networking, storage and semiconductors. He currently serves as a director of Vapro and Yosemite Technologies and works closely with Enwisen. Ho led the firm's prior investments in Axis Systems (acquired by Verisity), Evolve Software (EVLV, acquired by Primavera Systems), Inzap, Listen.com (acquired by Real Networks), Nishan Systems (acquired by McDATA), Pixo (acquired by Sun Microsystems), Provato (acquired by I-Many) and Soundpipe (acquired by Comdial). All were deals in which Altos was the lead investor in the seed or first institutional round of funding. Before joining Altos Ventures in 1996, Ho worked at Silicon Graphics (SGI) and Octel Communications (acquired by Lucent). Ho began his VC career at Trinity Ventures in 1990 and began his professional career at Bain & Company where he advised clients in the Semiconductor industry on product and corporate strategy.

 

Ho received an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, where he was co-editor of the Materials Handbook for Hybrid Microelectronics, the result of a research project funded by Teledyne Technologies.

 

Randy Hawks - Managing Director, Claremont Creek Ventures

 

Randy Hawks began his career as an operating executive and has held several senior management positions at Texas Instruments, ITT Information Systems, and AT&T Paradyne, where he served as Senior Vice President overseeing the network communications, multimedia, and broadband technology teams. Randy was Executive Vice President/COO and Director at Identix, from its startup phase through its IPO. He also served as CEO and Director of Captiva Software. Randy's investing career has been equally varied and successful. He was a general partner at Novus Ventures and a venture partner at Horizon Ventures. Among his other past and current directorships are Identix, Clairvoyant Software, Hipbone Software, Inapac, Invivodata, Flytecomm, View Central, and Be Here.

 

Randy earned a BSEE from University of Arkansas and has completed the Stanford University Executive Management Program. He serves as the Venture Committee Chair for Keiretsu Forum.

 

Himanshu Choksi - Managing Director, Pacifica Fund

 

Himanshu Choksi has over eighteen years of experience in general management, product development, marketing, and new venture development in the internet, communications, and semiconductor industries. Prior to co-founding Pacifica, Himanshu co-founded two startups and held senior management positions in several private and public companies. He was founding CEO of Onebox.com, a venture-backed company acquired by Openwave Systems (formerly Phone.com). One of the first three employees of Pacific Bell Video Services, a fledgling venture within the Pacific Telesis family of companies, Himanshu helped it become a pioneer in the wireless broadband market and grow to over 300 people. His team developed the company's earliest interactive TV services. He served as GM of an acquired wireless cable company and led the company's market launch of wireless digital TV services - the world's first commercial deployment of a digital MMDS television service. Prior to Pacific Telesis, Himanshu was at Bain & Company, where some of his work formed the basis of recommendations by CEOs of the top 10 U.S. computer companies to President Bush (senior) regarding government investment in R&D and was instrumental in setting up Bain's technology consulting practice. Himanshu began his career at Intel Corporation, where he developed next-generation IC technologies.

 

Himanshu is the holder of four US patents. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he ranked first in his field of study; an MS from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Eric Dunn

 

Eric Dunn is a Partner at Cardinal Venture Capital. Previously, Dunn was a member of the senior management team of Intuit Inc., a leader in financial software with over $1 billion in annual revenue. At Intuit, Dunn served as CFO, VP/GM and SVP/CTO, while also leading the initial development efforts for Quicken, and also initiated many of Intuit's activities in electronic financial services and its international expansion. Before working at Intuit, Eric was a management consultant at Bain & Company, and also worked at IBM for two years as a software engineer.

 

Eric sits on the board of Corillian, PayCycle, BitPass and Environmental Software, and has served as Chairman of the Board of LiveCapital since 2001. Eric received his B.A. in Physics from Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

Scott Loftesness

 

Scott Loftesness is founding partner at Glenbrook Partners. Previously, Loftesness was Group Executive Vice President at First Data Merchant Services, where he helped build FDMS into the world's largest credit-card merchant processor. He also served as Group Executive Vice President at Visa International, where he was responsible for defining Visa's global payment systems strategies, including Visa's research and development initiatives related to card payments, Internet payments and smart cards. Loftesness began his career at IBM where he spent over 17 years.

 

Scott has over 30 years of experience in information technology - as a senior executive, board member, private investor, consultant, advisor, and CEO mentor. He is an active private investor, member of the board of directors and advisor to a number of companies in the electronic payments, Internet infrastructure, and security markets.

 

Nancy Langer

 

Nancy Langer is President, Business Transformation Services for Metavante Corporation. Previously, Nancy Langer was President of Wausau Financial Systems, a leading provider of payments technology and services. Langer has spent over 20 years in the financial services industry with experience spanning general management, strategic planning, business development, mergers & acquisitions, payment operations, and fraud and risk management. Prior to joining Wausau she was President of Billeo, Inc. where she helped drive company positioning, business development, and the product market launch. Prior to joining Billeo, she ran her own independent consulting company, Langer & Company, and served as President of Global Payments Consulting for Carreker Corporation, Dallas, TX. Previously, she launched and managed the Consumer E-banking division of Metavante Corporation, a multi-million dollar business. As President of the Electronic Presentment and Payment division for Metavante, Langer launched and ran the consumer bill payment business growing it organically and through acquisitions to a $80 million dollar business serving over 1,500 financial institutions world-wide.

 

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and MBA coursework with Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Business.

 

Shankar Srinivasan

 

Shankar Srinivasan is co-founder and Vice President of products at Healthia Inc. Before that he was responsible for the EPP and web portal programs as Vice President in the Chase Financial Services eBusiness group. Previously, Srinivasan served as VP of Product Management at Metavante Corporation, where he was responsible for product management and strategy for all electronic presentment and payment products. Srinivasan joined Metavante after the acquisition of CyberBills by Metavante. He was a co-founder and CTO of CyberBills. Prior to starting Cyberbills, Srinivasan was a member of the founding team at Healtheon/WebMD, where he was Director of engineering and architect of the first Internet product. Srinivasan subsequently served as managing director of Healtheon Software India Pvt. Limited, where he established a state-of-the-art engineering facility in Hyderabad, India. Srinivasan previously worked at Silicon Graphics, where he was responsible for the Video-on-Demand server for interactive TV.

 

Shankar has a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York, Stony Brook and a B.E. (Honors) in Electronics and Communication from Madras University, India.

 

Sridhar Chityala

 

Sridhar Chityala is an advisor and consultant to various firms that focus on product innovation, and to private equity and venture capital firms making strategic investments on emerging technologies.

 

Mr. Chityala was executive vice president and chief eCommerce officer at Wachovia, where he was responsible for all internet, intranet and mobile strategic direction, execution, customer experience integration and online brand articulation. Prior to that he was the Executive VP and Head of Telecom sector at Citi Corp in the Credit Card group. From 1999 to 2005 Mr Chityala was Executive vice president and eBusiness executive in Chase Financial Services and was responsible for the e-commerce, online marketing, payments and e-business initiatives of Chase’s diverse Consumer and Middle Market business streams. Prior to joining Chase he was Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman of the Financial Industry Foundation/Lafferty Councils, responsible for strategic consulting and advisory services to major banks and financial institutions in the United States, Europe and Asia regarding marketing, distribution, retail services, e-commerce, cards, and payments issues. Mr. Chityala spent three years managing the National Australia Bank Group’s strategy, policy, operations, procedures and strategic projects for Global Payments, Cards, Marketing, Distribution and e-commerce. He is a Co-founder of the Global Payments Council, a board member of various payment bodies and associations and is recognized as an industry expert on retail distribution, payments and e-commerce through published articles and appearances at industry conferences.

 

Mr. Chityala holds a Graduate Management Qualification from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Advanced Management Program from Stanford Business School and a MS in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has also attended management programs at MIT and the Senior Executive Leadership Management Class at JP Morgan Chase.

 

 

Steve Elefant

 

Steve Elefant is Venture Partner at Claremont Creek Ventures. Before joining Claremont Creek, Steve co-founded PriceRadar, Inc., a leading provider of merchant and consumer services and analytics for online auctions. PriceRadar‚s technology was sold to eBay in 2001. Previously Steve was the co-founder and CEO of ICVerify, Inc., the worldwide leader in PC-based credit/debit card and check authorization and payment processing software. He oversaw the merger of ICVerify with CyberCash, Inc. and became vice chairman of the combined, publicly traded company. Steve was also president and COO of Yaga Inc., a leading ASP for Internet publishers and merchants managing both digital content and physical merchandise, acquired by BitPass. Steve is an active member of the Keiretsu Forum, the largest angel network in North America. He also serves on many corporate technology advisory boards and is a member of the Secret Service and FBI Electronic Crimes Task Forces.

 

Steve holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA. He is a licensed private pilot, and lives in Lafayette, California with Debbie, his wife of 21 years, and their twin children.
